Different, but same same
It has been a month and a half since I have stayed here in the UK and I am settling in quite well. It certainly is different the way things work around here than back in Malaysia. First things first, it is cold all the time. Waking up in the morning, I would wash my face and brush my teeth. The water coming out of the tap is so cold, there is no way I could splash my face with the water. I would have to fill the sink with some cold water and hot water from the hot water tap(which is really hot!) before I could wash my face. It is different. Before going out of the house, I had to make sure I have at least two layers of clothing and a jacket. The cold weather is bearable, but it is usually the chilly wind that bites into the bone. My hands and legs are always cold, not forgetting my face and ears as well. Instead of switching on the aircond like back at Malaysia, we would switch on the heater or boiler to heat up the house.
