Wrong Direction

Image
Cause I'd love to feel love but I can't stand the rejection I hide behind my jokes as a form of protection I thought I was close but under further inspection It seems I've been running in the wrong direction oh no This song resonates so well with my thoughts... Heard their song "Let Her Go" and has been attracted ever since. Decided to listen to the rest of their album today on Youtube, great choice. Still deciding whether to buy their album - "All The Little Lights", on iTunes, problem is with the payment, not sure how it works, will figure it out soon.

S.H.E 2gether 4ever World Tour 2013

Image
I have never been to a concert before. Fortunate enough that my dad is a board member of the Malaysia Convention and Exhibition Bureau(MyCEB) and he has gotten free tickets. To begin with, concert tickets are expensive and I am not working yet. Hence, I cannot afford it and has never attended one and also partly because of the fear of going alone, I need "company". I mean, it would be better if somebody accompanied me to share the joy of watching one of your favourite singers or band perform right. The concert was scheduled to start at 8pm but even at 6pm, many of S.H.E fans could be seen outside the stadium waiting for their chance to enter. My family and I, being the "VIPs" got to enter much early and were treated to a simple buffet. It was kind of embarrassing because we were able to park so close to the entrance and it seemed like we were the only VIPs. As soon as we exit the car, everybody stared at us, trying to glimpse and see who these VIPs really w...

That time of the year

Image
Yes, summer has arrived, and it is a bit late to be announcing it now. But who cares, nobody reads this... It has been a month since I came back from the UK. Questions I have been encountering for the past month: "Eugene? Is that you?" (No, this is PATRICK!) "Eh, when you want to cut hair lar?" (I will not cut my hair, I have decided to keep it. It is as if I have found something, like an item, and I have decided to keep it, it belongs to me. You cannot take it away from me, go away...) "Hey Eugene, you are back already!" (No I am not back yet. This is only an illusion. In awhile, you will awake from your dream, all these are fake.) "When are you going back there again?" (I know I am not welcomed home, want me to leave soon? Well, I will not be returning to the UK anymore, I am back for good. Will continue to pursue my Masters in Engineering for one more year. Although I really wish I can go back to the UK, chances are it won...

A Long Yet Wonderful Journey

Image
In a blink of an eye, my 1 year stay(10 months to be exact) at the UK has come to an end. It truly has been a wonderful experience. I have never regretted taking part in the Exchange Programme offered by The University of Nottingham. Should you have the money chance, please do take part in the programme. As you read this post, I would already be on the plane, making my way back home. The Iconic Nottingham Trent Tower of The University of Nottingham and it's ever famous lake The awesome indoor court where I spent most of my time playing basketball and badminton A large field at the West Entrance The Indigo Bus which most of uses Just me chilling at the lake Our house we lived in, 96 Dunkirk Road, Dunkirk I composed this post in my almost empty room. As I start to get used to the weather here, the people, the culture and the way of living here, It is time for me to leave. The sense of attachment grows over time, I don't feel like ...

Back to the nest

One more paper to sit and just a few more weeks, it will be time for me to head home. The past 2 weeks have been nothing but wake up, eat, study, eat, play play play play , study, sleep, Locked up in the confines of my room. I will definitely miss this room, this big and comfortable room, where I have spent most of my 8 months eating, sleeping, playing, reading in. Took the picture above only this afternoon at Nottingham City. It is starting to get warm now, as if the universe is preparing myself to anticipate the hot weather back in Malaysia. Till then, back to studying. . . NOT

I Tried

After 23 days of not playing Dota 2, I finally succumbed to my bad habit, I reinstalled Dota 2 and played it this evening. Today I handed in my last coursework for my design project, somehow I felt free. I only had a 1 hour class today. After class, I decided to head to the music hall to play the piano. The sun was shining and the weather wasn't that cold. Many students were seen sitting or lying on the grass, I thought:"maybe I should try it myself". Field in front of George Green Library A girl enjoying a book and the warm sun After playing the piano at the music hall, I went to the park nearby the lake. There were many people sitting on the grass, enjoying the sun. The sky was blue and clear while the sun was shining brightly, it felt great. I looked for a spot, checked for any duck or goose droppings, sniffed and turn around the spot a few times  before sitting on the grass. A couple hugging each other to sleep Some random guy I met ...

Long Black Thing

Image
"What is this Long Black Thing covering your head and also some parts of your body? Not to mention, your head is so small!" Remember reading that one out of Goosebumps - My Invisible Friend, by R.L. Stine, one of my favourite childhood books(besides bookworm books). That sentence was at the ending of the story.  All this while, the author did not mention who this invisible friend was.  He turns out to be a human and the main character was an alien, really entertaining. Mentioning about hair, my hair is very long right now. I can say this is the longest I have ever let it grown all my life. Compared to other people, my hair grows rather slower than most. I have not cut my hair since I came over here to the UK, been 7 months already. At times, it may get annoying since the hair keeps getting into my eyes and also how my head is not used to all these extra stimuli. I am still deciding whether to keep it or cut it short when I am back in Malay...
