United KINGdom

Image
The first time I heard of the UK was when I was just a little kid. I saw the Queen from the Mr. Bean series. I asked my parents, "where did the Queen come from?" They would reply :"England...or UK..." "UK? What's UK?" My eldest brother would say, "Ulu Klang! Haha~" "Huh? Where is that?" Ulu Klang is just another town somewhere in the Klang Valley. Me, being an ignorant kid, I didn't even know where Klang was, despite being there countless times for Bak Kut Teh. I only remembered when the food was served, I was like a hungry hyena whom has not eaten for days and would immediately start walloping the pork bones and pork intestines. In a few weeks time, I would be leaving Malaysia for Nottingham, UK to continue my Third Year in Chemical with Environmental Engineering. Took part in the exchange programme where we would be having a chance to experience the study environment and lifestyle in the UK campus for two whole sem...

London Olympics 2012

Image
An event that happens every 4 years An event that gathers many nations to compete in various sporting events An event that houses many professional and talented people waiting to shine for their country An event to be proud of As far as I can remember, I only started watching the Olympics after the 2008 Beijing Olympics opening ceremony. Everybody would gather around in the living room to watch the opening ceremony at the Beijing which was broadcasted live on the TV. I remembered a little girl was on the stage, singing China's national anthem, before Lang Lang the renowned pianist takes the stage, performing a piece which I couldn't remember. Then, Li Ning, one of China's sportsmen was running around the stadium with the Olympic torch in one hand. I have heard of the Olympics when I was little but didn't take too much notice of it as I had other things to be worried of (like completing my homework on time or keeping my school shoes as white as possible). Beside...

Superheroes

Image
With the recent hike in crime rates in our country, don't you wish superheroes really exists? Batman & Robin, Catwoman, Superman, The Avengers, and the latest superhero... ShoppingMallCarParkMan? People being robbed and hurt at shopping mall carparks; girl escapes rapists by jumping out of moving car; old woman falls and knocks her head because of bloody snatch thieves... Today, these heartless, uncivilised men will resort to anything just to steal from the innocent people. "NO MONEY, NO TALK!" is the rule they abide by. If you don't have money, they will hurt you or kill you. You may think that this is none of your business as you just read it off the newspaper or website yesterday. But once it happens to you or your family member, you wished you took up Tae-kwon-do lessons and executed some moves to kick that bastards ass. Well, I'm glad and grateful that I have not met with any of these crisis.  Scary how crime can happen anywhere anytime...

McDonald Olympic Fun Run 2012

Image
So it seems that I am interested in marathons and runs. Not really, but I take part in these marathons to test myself, test my limits. I want to see how far I can run, how long before I run out of breath, how long before my legs start to hurt due to lactic buildup. So far it has been an amazing experience. I get to see many people, I get to enjoy the beautiful scenery, I get to tour around KL, priceless experience. But there is a price I have to pay. Recently, my knees have started to hurt after all these strenuous exercise. After a run or a game of basketball, my knees will hurt and I cannot do anything about it besides wearing a knee guard my dad bought me. They said jogging or running will hurt our knees, but that didn't stop me from running or jumping. I love to run and jump, I will keep on training until I am satisfied. So far I am still unable to Dunk and I have only taken part in 10km marathons. My goal would be to one day finish a FULL marathon and perform...

SCKLM 2012

Image
Took part in the Standard Chartered Kuala Lumpur Marathon 2012 last 2 Sundays(24/06/12)  with my friend Han Qi. We participated in the 10KM, Speed Category, whereby we had to finish the marathon in 75 minutes to qualify. Slept at around 1am and woke up at 4am. Drove to Kelana Jaya to catch the free shuttle bus to Dataran Merdeka as driving all the way to the venue would be senseless since it would be super packed and there would be no place to park the car. While in the free shuttle bus ride to Dataran Merdeka from Kelana Jaya station Honda Half Marathon (21KM) participants taking off Me and my faithful running partner, Han Qi Race took off at 6.30am.  Really enjoyed the run as it felt like a tour around the KL city. I maintained my pace and was looking left and right just to enjoy the scenery. Although I stay in Subang, but I seldom hangout at KL. The weather was perfect too, making the run a wonderful experience. I finished in 56 mi...

Pet World Malaysia 2012

Image
Took a day off on Friday 15/06/12 to work at my dad's exhibition "Pet World Malaysia 2012" at Mid Valley Exhibition Centre. It was held for 3 days. This exhibition is running for it's fifth year, first one started back in 2008 with only one hall occupied. The exhibition has a very good crowd and there were many pets to see and touch. There were plenty of exhibitors selling a variety of products such as pet accessories, pet clothes, and pet food at low prices. There were dog competitions, cat competitions, a fashion show where the pet owner and pet together walk on the stage while modelling their costumes. Seeing so many pet owners with their wonderful pet, I felt jealous. The close relationship between the owner and the pet. Still, it will take some time before we own another dog... These are the pictures: Siberian Husky with a goggles, funky "what you looking at..." Dog Obedience Challenge Rabbit for sale one of the cats in...

Internship to be exact... Started my internship at a water treatment company located in Puchong just after my exams, 3 days after my last paper. 9am to 6pm. My workdesk (Temporary) Enter the door, boss room on the left. HE SEES EVERYONE, you can't hide! colleagues' desks reception Just like any office, first thing in the morning come in, punch card. Go out for lunch, punch card. Back from lunch, punch card. Leave office, punch card. Feels like my movements are being recorded... First day of internship is just like going to school on the first day. Meet new people(or friends in the future), greet and get to know each other, know the name of my boss(VERY IMPORTANT!) and the name of my supervisor. Nothing much to do, sit around, look at brochures, observe colleagues while we try to figure out each other's personalities. Well, most of the time my supervisor is away from the office as he is at the site located at Kuala Selangor, overseeing ...
