Introducing... Gene

My new laptop




15.6 inches Acer 5560G
My brother bought it for me last weekend during the PC Expo.

I have never owned any electronic gadget personally, most of it are passed down from my brothers, my mother, my father, my grandfather, my great great grandfather...

Finally having my own laptop, I can do whatever I want with it.

I don't have to name a folder "EK's" on the desktop to put my stuffs in it.

I don't have to worry about not being able to find any specific files.

Why the name Gene?

It's the second syllable of my name, and also because I still like biology. That subject is so interesting, the study of life.

Still exploring what I can do with this laptop, hopefully it will not give me any problems when I am at the UK, part of the reason why I need to have a new laptop.

Dear Gene, may our bonds never be broken, no matter whatever happens in our relationship, I will always treat you well and remain loyal to you, provided you do not give me any problems.

And so let the gaming sessions begin~!

It's so nice of your brother to buy you your own laptop, Eugene! He certainly made a great choice with the Acer 5560G. It's very compact and portable. And the touch pad makes navigating very smooth. Well, good luck on your stay in UK.

Hi Gene! I know it's a bit late, but congratulations on your new laptop. That's a cool laptop. It's labeled as one of Acer's finest. You'll have no trouble playing games with it, and photo and video editing software also run smoothly in it.

I always wondered that the musicals here in the UK would be somewhat different from the ones I attended back in Malaysia. Hence, I made sure I attended at least one musical in London. Musicality is a musical society here at University of Nottingham. They are made up of many students from different courses and background and boy are they talented! I attended their annual musical production: Jekyll and Hyde The Musical at the Nottingham Arts Theatre which was located in the city. Their performance was marvellous. Them Housemates

(10/01/12) I feel so weak and inferior around them. I am the last person they would ask if they didn't know how to solve a question. I always feel like i'm not part of the discussion. It's as if i'm left behind, so much further away from them. I am sitting around them, yet they prefer to ask the other housemate sitting upstairs I don't know why but somehow i feel pissed They just ignore me... I am not worried if they see this, they don't even know i have a blog I feel... sad, frustrated, hopeless sometimes i feel as if i am in the wrong course, taking the wrong path of life, they make me feel... bad still, i am grateful to have them as housemates and coursemates. i can always refer to them whenever i didn't know how to answer a question. or i could just borrow their solution and refer to it. or i could ask them to teach me. when exams season are here, there is this feeling of desperation lingering in the air. what is the answer to this que...

It makes you keep thinking of something(maybe someone?) you have just feeled, watched, smelled or heard. An example, your over-priced handphone that enables you to do almost everything with it, can you leave it aside for one day? Not replying any calls or messages for one whole day? CAN YOU? Or, not checking people statuses and updates on Twitter(i don't tweet) or FACEBOOK! CAN YOU? In the Buddhist context, attachments causes suffering.
