Young and free

Image
People say to pursue your dreams and do whatever your heart desires, do it while you are young and never regret in the future. I have decided to cut my hair afterall. It has been a long year. Kept my hair for a year and a few weeks, remembered the last time I cut was before taking my visa photograph. It grew pretty well and it kept eating my food, getting into my mouth  getting in my way. It was so long it touched my nose and mouth. I have always wanted to leave my hair long but never had the chance to. Therefore, going to UK was one of my excuses for not cutting my hair, it was expensive to cut my hair in the UK; I need long hair to keep my head warm; I was lazy.  So that is how I look like after a year of not cutting my hair. This accessory has been a very good friend, it has been by my side for so long, supporting me no matter the circumstances, in rain or in shine. In actual fact, it belongs to my sister and I borrowed it for such a long time she gave

Back To The Forest

Came back to Semenyih last night. Today marks the day I begin my Final Year in Chemical with Environmental Engineering. Also, marks the last year in which I will be studying, after this NO MORE STUDYING but work work work. Others say to enjoy studying because once you start working, you will miss studying. Just like how I can't wait for semester to start as I have rotted enough at home. The grass is always greener on the other side I suppose. Foreseeing more hectic days ahead, sleepless nights and lots of reading. Did I sign up for this? Well yes I enjoy reading, but to design and research about something I am not interested in definitely wasn't in the description. Well, I guess I just have to suffer  for another 9 months before the other chapter of life begins - JOB APPLICATIONS, which of course leads to the working life. Since I have to be more serious and focused in my final year of study, I deleted DotA 2 from my laptop last night. EVERYTHING. NO BACKUPS.

Exactly a year ago, on this date, I was leaving on a plane to a place far away from home to study. Instead of wishing me Happy Birthday, they wish me well on my journey overseas to study. I didn't have cake like usual, just red eggs. Today, coincidentally is the mooncake festival. No cake CAKE, but I got to eat some mooncake. I miss eating cake. Today I am older, but it is just a number. Life goes on Have I grown wiser? More matured? Maybe just a little...

Kem Muhibah

2 months ago(6th & 7th July 2013), I took part in an Interfaith Camp - Kem Muhibah. It was it's first of it's kind and it went pretty well. It was organised by JKMPKA(Jawatankuasa Mempromosikan Persefahaman dan Kerharmonian Antara Peganut Agama or  Committee to Promote Understanding and Harmony Among Religious Adherents ). Since I was having my summer break and my friend was part of the board of committees, I decided to participate in this camp. There were Christians, Buddhists, Taoists, Hindus, and Muslims. The camp was held for only 2 days but I had plenty of fun and learnt many things about each others' religion. Each group consists of approximately 7 to 8 members and were of different religions. One of our tasks were to tour around the KL Sentral area and interview the person in charge or caretaker of the particular religious centre. It was an eye opening experience not only for me but my team members as well. Some of them have never entered a temple
