No sound without silence

Last few weeks I attended the The Script concert at Stadium Melawati. If not mistaken, they were playing "Never Seen Anything Quite Like You" They were sporting enough to wear the Songkok and even took a picture on stage I went with See Chai and her friend (sorry I didn't take pictures with you and your friends) I also wanted to try out the "Doughnut Selfie" but was too shy(I had a friend who did this during her trip to Japan, she recorded her selfies and it is on Youtube. It was so good, a Japan TV company decided to feature the clip on their program, link here  and FB status here ) I was hesitating to buy the concert tickets, but then she asked me whether I would like to join them. I didn't know she was also a fan of The Script, it was great to have company. I really liked their songs such as The Man Who Can't Be Moved. Breakeven, Nothing, If You See Me Now, For The First Tme, and the list goes on. They started off thei...

I have been playing this game for many years now. I keep telling myself that I have to stop, it has become an addiction. I gathered my strength, and did the impossible. I DELETED DOTA 2 I have actually done this before, it was in year 2013 when I was busy with my FYP. I was clean for approximately 20 days, here . I have been missing out on a lot. I know it will come haunt me again one day, in fact it is happening right now. I am taking baby steps to slowly get over this. I unsubscribed myself from any Dota 2 related page in Youtube. I guess this will be my New Year's Resolution. I will be better. I promise to update more often. Wish me luck. I LIED

The ship we call friend

Me and my friends used to play basketball on friday nights weekly ever since we graduated from highschool. It was my good friend Jefferson's idea as he was the one with the big Toyota Unser, he fetched all of us from our houses before heading to the basketball court at Kota Kemuning. We chose to play at night because the weather was nice, no hot blazing sun to sear our soft tofu-like skin. These basketball sessions used to have at least 8 people attending where we can play a pick-up game of 4 v 4. Then after our ball session, we would head to the mamak for the next session - Yum Cha. We would catch up on each of our lives by meeting and talking face to face. Nothing beats physical interaction. Facebook, Whatsapp or whatever social media are just not up to it. We would talk about anything on the face of Earth. "That so and so already so buff!" "Wow she really changed alot!" "Did you know that A is now with B already?" "Hey did you k...

The End is Just The Beginning

Today I challenged myself to a certain limit. I wasn't familiar driving a manual car, driving to a place I'm unfamiliar with, located far from the nest. I was driving a very old se cond/third/fourth hand car, I kept imagining of the worst case scenarios. I was nervous and afraid, but I didn't show any sign of it. I called my dad to tell him I was leaving, I waved my mum goodbye, before leaving on a journey. I was leaving for Malacca that very day. I will be starting my first new job as an engineer, away from home. I was having so many mixed feelings. Excited that I will be living outside on my own, Sad that I will be leaving the warm and cosy nest, Afraid that I will screw my first job, Happy to be making my own money(soon...), Lost because I really have no idea what I'm doing. 16 years of studying, blink of an eye, I have finally finished my studies and am glad that it's all over. To be honest, I have returned almost everything back to my te...

A Long long time ago, Once upon a time,  Last year, there was a new module under the Nottingham Advantage Award - Literature In Action. I have decided to take this module because it contained a society/club activity I have always wanted available at my university - Drama Club (the other sub-societies were Book Reading and Writing). I attended the first few sessions and really enjoyed myself. I was always looking forward to the next session. I also got to know the head of the drama club - Dr. Derek. He is an extremely funny guy, found out that he was Canadian, and that reminded me of Colin Mochrie from Whose Line Is It Anyway. During the second session, Dr. Sergio joined us and told us that a musical is to be held in the coming February or March, in collaboration with the Japanese Society. After hearing the news, it didn't strike my interest to take part in the musical because it didn't hit me that our university(well, just the Malaysian Campus) has never or...

As usual... *sweeps away cobwebs and dusts* Sorry for the infrequent update as I have been so lazy to update my blog  busy with research lately at university. As promised in my previous post, I will update you all about my trip down to Johor Bahru with my family for the Pet World Johor Bahru 2013, organised by my dad and his company, Fairs & Events Management Sdn Bhd.(Yeah it was held last year end, shows how long I have not been updating). This was the second time my dad is organising this event(Pet World JB); Pet World Malaysia is already in its' 6th year and is usually held around middle of the year at Mid Valley Megamall. Pet World JB was held on the 14th and 15th of December 2013 at the Danga Bay City Mall Exhibition Hall. Looking at the pictures, there were many pets and exotic animals present at the exhibition. Pet owners were allowed to bring their pets to the venue while they scouted for pet related products on sale. Dogs, cats, spiders, snake...
