The ship we call friend

Image
Me and my friends used to play basketball on friday nights weekly ever since we graduated from highschool. It was my good friend Jefferson's idea as he was the one with the big Toyota Unser, he fetched all of us from our houses before heading to the basketball court at Kota Kemuning. We chose to play at night because the weather was nice, no hot blazing sun to sear our soft tofu-like skin. These basketball sessions used to have at least 8 people attending where we can play a pick-up game of 4 v 4. Then after our ball session, we would head to the mamak for the next session - Yum Cha. We would catch up on each of our lives by meeting and talking face to face. Nothing beats physical interaction. Facebook, Whatsapp or whatever social media are just not up to it. We would talk about anything on the face of Earth. "That so and so already so buff!" "Wow she really changed alot!" "Did you know that A is now with B already?" "Hey did you k...

The End is Just The Beginning

Today I challenged myself to a certain limit. I wasn't familiar driving a manual car, driving to a place I'm unfamiliar with, located far from the nest. I was driving a very old se cond/third/fourth hand car, I kept imagining of the worst case scenarios. I was nervous and afraid, but I didn't show any sign of it. I called my dad to tell him I was leaving, I waved my mum goodbye, before leaving on a journey. I was leaving for Malacca that very day. I will be starting my first new job as an engineer, away from home. I was having so many mixed feelings. Excited that I will be living outside on my own, Sad that I will be leaving the warm and cosy nest, Afraid that I will screw my first job, Happy to be making my own money(soon...), Lost because I really have no idea what I'm doing. 16 years of studying, blink of an eye, I have finally finished my studies and am glad that it's all over. To be honest, I have returned almost everything back to my te...

The Mikado

A Long long time ago, Once upon a time,  Last year, there was a new module under the Nottingham Advantage Award - Literature In Action. I have decided to take this module because it contained a society/club activity I have always wanted available at my university - Drama Club (the other sub-societies were Book Reading and Writing). I attended the first few sessions and really enjoyed myself. I was always looking forward to the next session. I also got to know the head of the drama club - Dr. Derek. He is an extremely funny guy, found out that he was Canadian, and that reminded me of Colin Mochrie from Whose Line Is It Anyway. During the second session, Dr. Sergio joined us and told us that a musical is to be held in the coming February or March, in collaboration with the Japanese Society. After hearing the news, it didn't strike my interest to take part in the musical because it didn't hit me that our university(well, just the Malaysian Campus) has never or...

Pet World Johor Bahru 2013

Image
As usual... *sweeps away cobwebs and dusts* Sorry for the infrequent update as I have been so lazy to update my blog  busy with research lately at university. As promised in my previous post, I will update you all about my trip down to Johor Bahru with my family for the Pet World Johor Bahru 2013, organised by my dad and his company, Fairs & Events Management Sdn Bhd.(Yeah it was held last year end, shows how long I have not been updating). This was the second time my dad is organising this event(Pet World JB); Pet World Malaysia is already in its' 6th year and is usually held around middle of the year at Mid Valley Megamall. Pet World JB was held on the 14th and 15th of December 2013 at the Danga Bay City Mall Exhibition Hall. Looking at the pictures, there were many pets and exotic animals present at the exhibition. Pet owners were allowed to bring their pets to the venue while they scouted for pet related products on sale. Dogs, cats, spiders, snake...

Happy New Year 2014

Image
"Finally! An update! Where have you been all this while?" Lazy  Busy? First of all, HAPPY NEW YEAR! We'd usually greet people that when it is near the new year. Even a few days after New Year, we'd still be greeting them "Happy New Year". I wonder how long is the greeting valid. Still, Chinese New Year is just around the corner. HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR! 新年快乐! Can't stress how busy I was last year that I neglected my updates, but I promise to update as much as I can this year. Last semester was hell, my spirit was broken, torn into thousand pieces and tossed into the atlantic ocean. I always make my new year's resolution, but I choose to keep it to myself this year. I have written them down in a small notepad. Whenever I feel unproductive, I take it out and go through it and remind myself how pathetic I am right now, drowning myself in self-pity and apathy. WHO READ THIS BLOG? EVER? Right, my ownself. Last year, CNY was on Valenti...

Champions

Last two weeks, I decided to take part in the 3 on 3 basketball competition held by the Nottingham University Basketball Club. I gathered my teammates, and decided to name our team the "Final Year Ballers". Obviously, from the name itself, you'd guess that we were all in our final years. I thought, since this will be my final year in university, why not take part in these activities as I will definitely miss them in the future. There were a total of 12 teams who took part in the tourney. There was even a 3 point shoot out. I only made 4 baskets out of 20. The winner made 5, and he won a club tee. In the first round, we won 2 games and lost one. We nearly lost our first match, but thanks to Alex's last 3-pointer before the time was up, we won by a point. We won the second game, then lost the third one to this group below. Runner Up - Allstars(didn't know their names); Alex, me and Steve Turns out that we met them in the finals and won th...

Cheesy

She stood by the doorway Motioning me to enter the room It was dimly lit, slow songs playing softly behind She asked me to get on the bed and make myself comfortable Then she went out to get ready As I lay on the stiff cold bed, I wondered should I strip naked or just leave it as it is My heart beating really fast She enters the room and shut the door Walks right to the end of the bed She leaned over, her soft breasts clearly touching my head I just lay there motionless, wondering about my next move She started caressing my face Applied something sticky and wet She was clearly in control She was rough, but I liked it I could feel her hot breath touching my skin An hour or so later, she was done It felt sticky, moist But I was satisfied I wondered how she felt about it It was all over now My first time ever at a facial treatment...
